    in wet gate, your film goes through some sort of liquid in order to avoid any scratches on your ranked stuff.
    dry gates are just not exited enough smile

    Can one of you learned folks please explain the difference between wet gate and dry?
    I noticed one place can do it for S8.

    It's important to know that the solution the film goes through (which changes because of EPA regulations) must completely evaporate before the film rewinds on the other take-up spool.

    Wet gate will significantly reduce scratches when used at the time you are making your video master.
